Ruckus Roots
Ruckusroots is an LA-based 501(c)(3) non profit organization with the mission of engaging young adults in environmental activism through interactive art and music installations, AKA ARTivism.
Art Customs and RuckusRoots have joined forces on the following projects:
TRASHformation: an interactive, improvisational art experience that turns campus-generated waste, recycling and/or surplus items into a sustainably built, aesthetically stunning and functional sculpture.
Bike Bash is an interactive art and biking event that rethinks, rebuilds and re-imagines how you get from point A to point B. At the University of Wisconsin over Earth Week 2011, we turned donated bikes into functional, mobile art pieces and sustainability tools, including a DJ bike that plays music from solar-powered speakers, a pedal-powered charging station for cell phones & laptops and more! This event is a collaboration between RuckusRoots, Art Customs and Scraper Bikes. See FOX news coverage of this event, Photos are below.
